Vernie

Vernie is a gender-neutral name meaning "Uncertain shortened form". It has not appeared in recent U.S. birth records, last common back in the 1920s. As things stand now, it is a rare find in the registry. Few names stick around this long: it shows up across almost the entire twelve-decade span this registry covers.
