Girl
Tanya
As a girl's name, Tanya traces back to Russian, where it is understood to mean "Russian diminutive of Tatiana". It belongs mostly to the 1970s at this point. These days, it is neither rare nor overly common. It has appeared in U.S. birth records in nearly every decade since 1900, a genuinely long run.
