Lana

As a girl's name, Lana traces back to Slavic, where it is understood to mean "Handsome; or Slavic light". It settled in after its 1940s peak and has held its ground ever since. Today, it is comfortably in the mainstream in the registry. It has appeared in U.S. birth records in nearly every decade since 1900, a genuinely long run.
