Alvin

Rooted in Germanic, Alvin is a boy's name that means "Noble friend". It is not as common as it was in the 1920s, though it has not disappeared. Today, it is a well-known pick in the registry. Since 1900, roughly 156,665 babies in the U.S. have been given this name.
